Assignment pictures

My friend Robyn who also loves photography, has been sending me a daily assignment in photography. Like a word, then come up how you interpret that word in a picture. Here are a few I've come up with in the last few days.
 the word was Symmetry.
This is a wooden bowl that my dad's friend Earl made from him out of a stump of an Elm tree my dad had to cut down.  This tree use to be my brother's tree house. We had lots of fun up in that tree.
 The word was: Winter
Kind of laughed cause that day it was 50 degrees. But this is our Winter?  Love the long shadows though.
The word was: Black and White
I'm a pretty black and white person, but the black and white keys of piano love to call my name.
The word was: blue
There's nothing like a clear blue North Dakota sky!!
I'll keep posting any assignment I actually get done.  I did miss one day, and that word was morning. Ha, ha, wonder how come I missed that one. Too late to call it morning, by the time I read the assignment. LOL

Richardton Abby

Todd and I went to Belfield today, and on the way home we stopped at the Richardton Abby. All these years I've lived in North Dakota, I've never seen the Abby. Wow, quite the building! We went inside and I just had to sing the Lord's prayer while standing there admiring the building.  What acoustics!  Just as I finished, a priest walked in. Oh I hope I didn't do something wrong.
Richardton Abby on a beautiful ND sunny day!! 50 degrees out!! on Feb 2! That's amazing.

I snapped this picture of the reflection on the fountain, if you look close the priest was just walking in the room. I hope it's not illegal to take a picture.  This is my favorite picture of the Day!!!!! by the way all I had with me was my little Sony Point and shoot, not bad for a P&S.

Can't get enough of this little one

Last night one of my best friends called to tell me that grand baby number 9 has arrived. Wow! Congrats!  Well, I don't have 9 grandchildren, but I do have one, and I just can't get enough of her (probably because she lives 7 hours away).  Someone asked me how my "Grandma Time" was, and I explained it as: eating a potato chip, you can't eat just one.  :-)
So here are my bragging rights of our little Kadence.
Gramma (me) got to give her a bath. Fun time splashing in the water!!

After my bath there's nothing better than my fingers.

Love my Teddy

Gramma was messin' with her hair after her bath. Naughty Granmma!!

Kade and the Teddy we gave her when she was born

She was suppose to taking a nap, but this is how we found her, all happy and giggles in her crib.
This little knit outfit above was mine when I was a baby. Did I look that cute in it?
Her mommy told me the leopard print is out of style, but I don't anything can be out of style on Kadence.

My favorite tee shirt. Guess who gave her that one?

I think she's saying "Take me to Gramma's Now!!"
The Kadence thing. She doesn't suck her thumb, but she does her two middle fingers. LOL
Love you sweet Kadence!

Window

A friend told me she's doing this photo a day thing (she did it last year too) and she had just subscribed to something that will send her an inspiration of the day. Yesterday's inspiration was "Window". So here is my try on 'window'.  Didn't quite turn out like I imagined, but close.
Sun coming up in the porthole window at the farm.  The sun has been shining through the windows of this old house for over 103 years. Good to build your house on the rock (literally and figuratively) so it's still standing later to let the sunshine (sonshine) in.
