June19 update Flood Pics at Farm

Was out at the Farm on Sunday for Father's Day and shot some more update pictures of the flooding.
 The mailbox is almost gone.

Dad said the day before there was three propane tank. Now there's only two, the other one floated away somewhere.
Past this house, is the actual river.
Looking north towards Morks. You can see on the pivot, you can no longer see the wheels. Morks place has become an island.

Trailer for Sale

I posting this just in case anyone knows of someone who'd like to buy this.  Since Kristi has decided not to rodeo, we feel we do not need to have a Horse Trailer with Living Quarters.  It's a 1988 Circle J Horse Trailer.  We put a shower in the front stall (straight drains through out no holding tanks), so it's only a 3 horse trailer now.  A new hot water heater was put in in 2009.  New water pump in 2008. Refridge/freezer only runs on gas.  The table/bench converts to a bunk bed.  Queen size mattress in the nose.  When we bought it, I redid the whole living quarter part. New flooring, recovered cushions, and painted, and new counter tops, new carpet in the nose and added storage cupboards, added extra outlights, added the porta potty and shower too.  Asking $5500
Has AC and furnace.  No stove, but do have a two burner hot plate. I usually just used my Coleman grill, but that got destroyed in the tornado, so I no longer have it. Lower "kitchen" cupboard wired for a microwave.
There's a cupboard above the table that we added too. 40 gallon water storage tank under bench.
The bottom cupboard below the sink is wired for a microwave.  I do have an extra microwave it you want one.

Added this cupboard when we bought it. Used the white trunk to store sleeping bags, and added extra seating.

We also added the small tack area.

The awning is shot, and should be removed. The tornado winds ripped up what was left of it.
Shower stall and garden hoses for water hook up.
New hot water heater in 2009

The table converted to a bunk. I don't think I had my pillow combination right on the bottom. oops!

North Dakota Sunset

North Dakota at it's best. Tonights sunset was just so beautiful. This is pretty much straight out of the camera, no adjustments, except I cropped out the power line in the corner, cause I hate trying to photoshop them out.   Doesn't God do a great picture of painting a beautiful sunset? Awesome!

On the Way to Kulm

My new friend Laura, who's a great photographer, and I went to visit another young lady who's photographer in Kulm today. On the way, we just had to stop and take some pictures. What else do photographers do, but take pictures, talk about cameras, and laugh at our photography stories. Felt so good to laugh today!!  Laura kept me laughing most of the way there and back.
Here's a few of my shots.
Laura especially found this sign funny. Only in North Dakota would you see a sign telling you to politely take turns and people will.   We saw this several times, as many spots in the road had been under water and they had been trying to build them up higher, but the roads were then narrower, but eroding away. Oh, by the way, I'm hanging out the window, and the wind was blowing like crazy too.
This old barn and windmill, seem to be sinking.  I have a feeling this is not a normal area of water, as people don't usually put a barn in water.
An all to familiar sign this spring and summer.
Some how this struck us funny. Did they take them off and go for a swim?
One of the many spots along the way under water.
