A Kadence Easter

It was so fun to have my kids and my grand baby here for Easter. What could be better? Somehow most every picture had Kadence in it, I wonder why?
Great Grampa Don was so trilled to get to hold Kadence

She really liked that baby in the mirror and was giving her all kinds of kisses.

Or was she trying to eat the baby in the mirror?

My chicky eggs I made for Easter.

 Our little sunshine!!

Uncle Phil and Kadence

My what big eyes you have!!!

Escaping her mommy while getting her diaper changed

Bath time in the sink. What fun! She had water everywhere with her splashing.

Love Kadence's expression when she gets her picture taken with me! It says it all! She's wearing her shirt we got her in Albuquerque, NM

April 5th Track Meet

Today we again headed over to the Bowl in Bismarck for a track meet. Kristi saw some improvement and she had a great time.
Kristi's first time to run the 300 hurdles.  She took 8th.
Coach Kuhn checking some times. He's the head coach for the girls at Mandan High. He's been coaching for 33 years. He was Kristi's Uncle LaRue's PE teacher in High School!

 Waiting for the hand off
The hand off!

Kristi then handed off to Destiny. They took 1st place.
Destiny's mother and I were best friends in 3rd grade. Small world. Sheryl was there at the track meet, so we had a great time visiting.

Kristi improved with every jump today. Last meet was a total scratch. So things are looking up.

Love the sand flying!

Destiny also long jumps so I snapped a few pictures of her.

Kristi had a little mishap on the 200. Coming around the corner, she lost her head band, and her bangs fell in her face and she had a difficult time seeing. (the wind was to her back at about 30 mph so that wasn't helping either). Next time, we do some french braiding. Never had this problem when Phil ran track. LOL
Destiny (lane 6) is to Kristi's (lane 9) left.  Kristi did finish even through it was hard to see the line. Poor girl.
I'll post a few more on my face book page.

Shaw family Pics

Last Saturday my sister-in-law Tracie had a wonderful Italian party at their house. Believe me, if Tracie's cooking it's GOOD!!!
Since all five of us siblings were actually there, we snapped a few pictures, midst the complaints that it was too cold out (we're getting way too spoiled by this warm weather).
Us five siblings.

Mom and Dad joined in the picture.
(Mom, Dad, and Kim were all dressed up ready to go to the symphony concert.)
All us girls were wearing "Fleas Knees" necklaces. These are awesome creative necklaces my niece Destri makes and sells on her "Fleas Knees" Itsy site.

Now let's add the In-laws. Doug, Tracie and Todd. Since I was in the picture, I couldn't see how everyone was arranged. My dad was still "leaning' in from the previous shot. Opps!
Since my battery was dead on my remote (must of gotten left on in my camera bag) my cousin Dean was so kind as to "push the button" on the camera. Thanks Dean!

The True family picture.
Ha ha. Actually True's favorite toys were also at the party, and I thought they looked so cute sitting there waiting for their "tea party".

Last weekends trip to Powers Lake

This last weekend we had so much fun up in Battle View/ Powers Lake, ND.  I shot Lee and Lex Tande's Senior pictures and had a great time visiting with their Mom and Dad.  The Tande's are wonderful friends from past years, and we had lots of catching up to do.  The weather cooperated well, and just was an over all enjoyable weekend.

Lex

Lex and Lee
I had to stand on a step stool to take their pictures, cause they are 6'3" or so. My 5'2" just didn't cut it, I felt like a total shrimp. LOL

Lee

Lee wanted his pickup all muddy so he drove it through lots of mud before this shot.  The mud was easy to find. Gumbo country!!

Both of the boys are volunteer fireman at Powers Lake

One of my favorite of Lex
